hot!
i think the grip is the Pachmayr one? but without the logo? might be wrong...i like it though!
why is it the new fashion to spend so much customising these 1911s? are SEGs unfashionable to gucci these days haha
Even in real handgun terms the world revolves around teh 1911.
I happened to pick up an American Handgunner Magazine the other day and i could not find a page that did not have a 1911, 1911 variant, or 1911 mods/customs on it
My question is about the magazines.
What did you do to make those 'bumpers' on them... get real ones?
They dont look too difficult to maufacture
i could more than likely make them out of black acetal
Thanks,
as for how much this cost.. hrm well, too much maybe.. still its nice having it. GBB guns are cool, and the full metal ones are even cooler.
the 1911 is so beautiful. Also, in the airsoft world there arent many handgun models that have a significant ammount of spare parts available and i think the 1911 looks the best of them.
the grips are actually from a Western Arms MEU, and yeah they are nice. (not totoally realistic but) Basically pachmayr without the logo. Bought it off a friend here.
The mag bumpers i got from here:

oh, and in reply to this: " why is it the new fashion to spend so much customising these 1911s? are SEGs unfashionable to gucci these days haha"
Its the blow back thing that does it for me, its just so sexeh... However, with the new TM AK74mn (Electric blowback) and the WA M4a1 (gas blowback) it seems the rifles are headed in the right direction.

dont know that i like the bumpers, but i love the trigger and hammer...i can see them on wgc just asking to be bought :D however not experienced enough to try replacing internal parts...i assume that internals will improve the rate of fire, or accuracy? no doubt at a cost of gas consumption haha
gosh. the hammer and trigger are easy to do.. :D

sure are... i did the metal kit on Mouse's 1911... hardest part was actually fitting the slide to the frame... was VERY stiff
Maybe it's time to started blinging my pistols... i could of gotten a custom SigPro slide but i needed to send the pistol to Japan to have it fitted.

my 1911 is metal already, so part of thats done...just need to replace some of the black bits with not so black bits, and find some similar grips :D
yeah its all pretty easy.. the hardest part for me was the beaver tail safety - i had to file away some of the frame to fit it in.. was pretty nerve racking.
the trigger and hammer are a piece of piss really, but they dont improve performance at all, they are just for looks looks. To improve performance its things like stronger hammer springs, high flow valves and tightbore barrels that do it.
theres lots of info online on how to do it all

Real steel doesn't normally have the beaver tail or flat hammer spring housing for the Delta 10mm.
Here's mine with real steel grips.

you have the egg-hole hammer, stock trigger (well it looks the same)...interesting
i like the fake grips better haha

Trigger is the PDI slotted version as opposed to the normal chequered one.
Fake grips. Yeah right. lol Unlike Western Arms most reaal steel grips line up perfectly with TM. Just need to open up the back of the hole a little to allow for the threaded insert. Centres are the same though. And the real ones don't have any weights but they still work out OK with a mag in them.
The western arms grips that i have on there do line up perfectly, didn't have to do anything to them or the gun to make them fit.
and real steel deltas dont come with a beaver tail out of the box but when people customize them (which like in the airsoft world is also popular) they often add them, personally i think it looks better.
but if we are getting pedantic about whos got more acurate bits then perhaps i should mention my thumb safety is correct whereas yours is not. But, i only mention this to say that with "custom" guns the point is moot.
the grips on your gun are nice btw.

You've got me wrong. I wasn't starting a penis envy competition. lol
I used my ambi version safety like yours on my Kimber. Too bloody expensive to get another one.
I've got some WA Marsoc grips here that fit a WA perfectly (obviously). Will they go on a TM? Will the feck. Hole centres are off by about 1mm. :(

i have a KSC one, so its probably different again haha
what i meant by the fake grips is i liked the ones on Whuts gun (pachmayr style ones)
as for the trigger, i dont know if mine is stock, but its the same as what yours has beowulf...slotted solid black
true, sweet as.
yeah the wooden grips (from the first pics) dont really fit exactly right, but they still can be squeezed in.
my ambi safety wasnt so bad really, it came in a pack of 4 things - the beavertail, the thumb safety, the hammer and different spring housing.
all for about 70 - 80 bucks.
ive got another 1911 frame coming in tomorrow, my new project. http://www.airsoft.net.nz/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif
