So after Blackhawk talked to me I'm probably gonna start getting back into Airsoft, sooo the question is Can I import my own AEG into the country these days? if It's semi? well if I can get them to change it to semi.

And how much is shipping from UNcompany for a gun? haven't ordered from them in ages.

I'm looking at a AK47 (yeah overrated but I've always wanted one :P) and with good fps...

is this alright? not gonna crap out on me like the last aeg I had!

They are far from overrated comrade!

and, er, that isnt a AK47.... its an AKM, the ak47s younger brother....

ANYWAY we now have a club armourer system who can bring in semi guns for you. join up with your nearest club and your armourer will be able to get this gun in for you no probs

Jamez do it via me or adrain. It will save you around 100$ and if there is a fuk up it could save you a GUN!! Also you can get 10$ mags via the armourer as well. So its a win win situation!!

I thought we talked about this the other night lol

CYMA.042 = full wood/metal = WIN!

And listen to the man Jamez - going through your armourer saves you lots of trouble. Club Armourers know what to get, they're not after your money (if they make any more at all), and they save you $$$.

Dorian, the I thought the "signature" of an AK-47 is the curved flash-hider?

Yoichi

yeah it is the AKM, which is the updated ak amos :P hence dorians grandson comment.

The flash hider, the recess over the mag well is different too.Top cover, scope mount, pistol grip(plastic as opposed to wood) and front handguards etc.

Probably slight internals as well but who cares,it shoots the same round etc...

Cheers thanks guys,

Dorian, yeah, I had a AK47 in my post before but I replaced it when I found this one haha my bad for not changing.

Blackhawk, I thought I might try order my self because I thought you said it might be like $300 something but ordering it my self worked out to be $200 or something... But yeah I'll talk to you on msn.

and does that gun come with hopup? and would it actually shoot around 400fps?

cheers

That's because, like every good armourer, he would be bundling your gun with a battery, hop-up bucking, shim sets, and things that you might need for your gun to save you on shipping - if $300 is the amount that he told you, and the correct amount you heard to start with. I personally find it insulting to suggest that you know better than your armourer on what to get and how to do it cheaper.

As for $200 bucks or less to get that piece above, that's Tui ad material.

Not trying to go on a newbie bashing, but - yeah

---> Reason why you should leave things to BH.

ALL guns come with a hop-up unit. Whether the bucking needs replacing or not is an entirely different story.

yeah AKM stands for Avtomat Kalashnikov Modified or Avtomat Kalashnikov Modinized. Its what they used between the AK47 and the AK74. Its kinda a cross between the two. The curved flash hider, ribbed top receiver, Forward hand grip and dimple over the mag well are the big give aways, also the bodies were pressed/cast instead of machined for ease of manufacture and the recoil system was changed. All in all they increased the range somewhat, as well as make it a more reliable and accurate gun. That little curve made a world of difference for muzzle lift purposes as well.

All up it was only used for around a decade before they moved on to the new smaller caliber guns. But was still a favorite for a long time. Personally Id love one, but I want all AK variants

Dorian

The AKM was used there yeah especially in the early years, but it was mostly the ak74.
