So i bought a KJ works 1911 Auto from a guy off trademe. This is my first gas blowback gun.
I went down to gun city and they sold me a can of green gas & some 6mm pellets. I load the mage with pellets and push the needle on the green gas into the valve on the base of the magazine, doesnt really make much noise,.. wait for a while then load into the gun.
Cock it and it fires once, then no gas?
I also got a spare mag with the gun (a Tokyo Marui Mag) but when I connect the needle on the green gas to the valve in this it seems to leak out a lot of gas, and doesnt fire at all.
Did they sell me the wrong gas?... what am I doing wrong?
I have tried to search the next for instructions on how to do this but I guess its so straight forward no-one bothers?

Make sure your holding the mag upside down and push the gas down into it, maybe 10 seconds or so, if you have one that leaks the gas back out the valve then the valve is sticking, spray some silicone spray into the valve or unscrew the valve and soak it in silicone for awhile you can also spray some silicone into the gas chamber , you can sometimes feel the mag getting cool as the gas fills up, this is the silicone that i use

you can get it from most hardwear stores.

don't 1911's have that little catch on the hammer valve that you have to pull down before you fill them? remember being caught out on the WA ones with that before

KJW mags are funny.. they are almost a silent fill and spill no gas when full. It pays to hold the can there for a minimum of 10 seconds, possibly even 20. Most other brands will spill gas when full so you know when to stop

Yes seems you are correct, doesnt make any noise when filling or when full. But wait for about 30 seconds and it seems it is full.
Cheers

Or if you hold the mags right next to your ear, you should hear the gas filling it up and when it's full. That's wha ti do even though it does look somewhat strange
