If it's a springer, then you should have no problems bringing them in. Just remember to call ahead and make sure the airline you are flying with, as well as Customs in both countries know exactly what you are doing and what you are carrying.

If they are electric airsoft guns, then you can only bring in semi-automatic guns due to New Zealand Firearms Law. There is a modification you can make to the internals (I believe it is removing or modifying the cut-off lever, but I am not familiar with the internals) and this means it will be made permamently semi-automatic only. Once you have done this, you will most likely still need to contact Customs and Police in New Zealand, they will test your gun at the airport in Customs (Will be a good idea to bring a charged battery, there are rumours of the NZ Customs using totally inappropriate batteries for testing)

So as long as your gun is semi-automatic, and you contact Customs and Police and your airline, then you will be able to bring in your import guns. Just make sure everybody involved knows exactly what it going on, and for gods sake, don't unexpectedly pull the gun from your bag in customs or anything ;)

Cheers,

Tom

Or you could post them to yourself as long as they are semi auto

The easiest way is to post them to yourself, it avoids all the hassles that go with bringing firearms through customs in various countries. They do have to be semi only though.
