anyone got any idea where i can get a good sniper rifle in nz i have looked for a gas L96 but not had much luck any help in this would be great thatks

probally a stock TM VSR, good gun good while stock then upgrade as needed (when your not noob)

I think Gun City still have a few Kar 98's or a G33/40 for $500,000,000. You could haggle, but they brought it when the dollar was fairly high so I think it owes them a bit. When I broached it for my price it was still cheaper to buy a new one from Red Wolf.

i am upgrading my v2 gearbok to take upto a m150 spring so i may just use that now ant then but i want a rifle that is sole set up for marksmanship so i dont have to keep changing the spring out for dif game play

yep i know about the G&G one but G&G wont be bringing it out till next year now they want it to be more powerfull so im looking for something thats already in nz
I know someone with a Tanaka M700 gas AICS that may be right up your ally.. :)

I dont see anything wrong with springer L96's, they all seem to have pretty high fps out of the box

I got a spring L96 and its a damn fine piece, as Kronos says it has a relativly high FPS out of the box bout 450ish I believe?

you can get them off trademe for around the 300 mark but I'm guessing you could get them a little cheaper, warrior do a good L96. But talk to your clubs armourer he can more then likely get a better deal

remember with gas its going to be shooting alot slower in the winter.

I am the club armourer for T.A.C most of the sites work in $us and as our $ is sh@#t at the moment most will cost $400 plus to get into nz so im realy just looking whats around nz first and what you guys think is good etc and one that i dont have to spend lots on to get it going sweet would be great too

Ha sorry had no idea you were an armourer! maybe trademe is the better option then less time waiting no need for customs to please?? Well I like my L96 a good solid feel bout it and shoots well out of the box

not a prob its hard to tell maybe there can be a tab put under everyones name so we know if someone is the chairman etc of a club anyway may i ask what brand etc your 96 is?

yes this is a concern i do have and as i like winter games more as you dont get so hot lol i may have to look at a spring type

Gas is fine in winter for the north island and prob "ok" down south in sniper rifles. Its not like using a gbb pistol or anything.
The only real benifit with spring is that you dont have to carry gas around all the bloody time.

yeh my pistol runs around 420fps in warn conditions for the first mag then goes dopwn to around 350-375 fps but not used it in colder games yet

Mines a Warrior one L96, no bi-pod for it though and one mag which is fine as it encourages me to pick my shots

yes that is the G&G pistol mine should arive early next month;) i can put some aside for anyone interested the only prob is there will be no spare mags till sfter xmas as G&G only have enough for the pistols that they have at the moment :( its a colt xtreme45

thats what they told me they will be shooting at and G&G seam to under state everything they sell so it may go better so it should be great
