Where the battery is ATM is great because when your firing from the hip the battery nuzzles into your arm perfectly like an arm bar as seen below (right handed gun only)

Thankyou for your valuable input, im going to proceed to ignore your post and instead believe that you posted something nice :)
Sprocket.. even though i think your a pretty cool guy and all.. that is pretty dumb :P
You can get the same end result by putting a 11.1v 4250 mAh lipo in the stock.. and it doesent look so ugly or heavy :P

And what is the price of this 11.1v 4250 mah lipo?
This battery costs 35 dollars brand new, and i have a near endless supply of them for free? Why buy something when you can get it for free??
Oh and its twice the capacity of the lipo, so alot cheaper and twice the capacity :) SLA for me thanks
Forget the weight, im a stong guy i can support it all day long and still find strength to run around like a nutter.
yeah but when are you seriously going to use near 6000 rounds?
MMMMMM Spam (made from Spamtilopes that run wild in Africa....)
As ideas, could you put the battery in a pouch on your belt or vest, and run longer wires to the gun?, that would make your gun lighter and quicker to bear on target. Putting a plug by the gun itself would mean you could just disconect it when you finished a game...went for a wee wee etc.
I also think I have a mp5 rear sight cylinder sitting around here somewhere, it looks like you are missing yours? Its off an old springer but would do the trick.
If you keep it the battery on the stock, An old black sock with the end cut out could be stretched and slid over to cover the battery and connectors to keep them dirt free.

I think that negates the need for sights....

I don't get it. On auto maybe in in the land of semi? The laziness of not changing mags is countered by lugging the battery. lol

$35?? holy shit you got ripped haha
i can get them for a massive $12 each ;) as for the point of that...when we have semi-automatic only, the 7AH battery would last you for probably a year before you had to charge it again...your trigger set would die long before that, and in fact your hand too...
we used these batteries back in the day for the likes of a 550FPS SR25 and a PSG/1 if i remember right...but that was to pull the springs haha...
rate of fire of these + phoenix ultra high cycle gears would be impressive if we were living in an auto-capable era/country

I have a pouch for the battery and the leads were cut long enough to run it from a backpack, hence the leads are run around the battery to keep them out of the way, i just havnt go around to putting it in the pouch yet
Also there is a connecter so i can disconnect it when i finish a game, i just cant be arsed ATM
The battery will move to a pouch when it runs out, i wont be taping another to the stock
and i dont need a rear sight, spam means no need for aiming haha :)
