Could use sandbags (sands cheap :P) and get old grain bags to put sand in or even some random filler in them like milk bottles to make portable bunkers.

I dont know much about this whole "milsim" thing (more of a "skirmisher") but is this type of position to be considered sufficient to meet the stringent "milsim" (military simulation) requirements?
